The Vicarage and 50 Nightingale Lane house the Lower School in SW12.

"Pax Intrantibus, Salus Exeuntibus" reads the inscription spelt out in mosaic in the front porch of the Old Vicarage, a rambling, red-brick Edwardian former parsonage. Built in 1906 in the shadow of St Luke’s Church in the Arts & Crafts style, it remained in use as a Vicarage until the mid-1980s. It was acquired by the school in 1989, and is home to the Prep and Class 1 children (4 & 5 year olds).

The children spend their first two years in the Old Vicarage, before progressing to 50 Nightingale Lane, a few yards away, for their two years in Class 2 and Class 3. Both buildings have large gardens and play areas; at 50 Nightingale Lane there is a full size hard court in the garden, which invaluable for games and PE at this level.

She first joined Broomwood in 1989, staying for 6 years before returning to NZ where she trained to teach special needs. Diana returned to Broomwood in September 2004.

	CAROLINE PAWLAK Director of Studies Class 1W c.pawlak@northwoodschools.com	Caroline grew up near Hampton Court. Having graduated from Exeter University, she completed her PGCE with Special Needs and taught in Islington before joining Broomwood in 1991.
	ELIZABETH O'HARA Prep N e.ohara @northwoodschools.com	Elizabeth grew up and went to school in Windsor. She studied Sociology and Social Policy at Durham University. She then completed a Masters in Medical Science at Sheffield University and qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist. She worked as a Specialist Therapist with children with language disorder prior to completing her PGCE at Roehampton University. Elizabeth enjoys travelling, having spent time in Australia and South America. Her interests include the theatre, cinema, reading and swimming.
	SARAH GRAHAM Prep E s.graham@northwoodschools.com	Sarah Graham lived in Bermuda until 16, before studying A levels at The Royal School, Bath, followed by a degree in geography and sociology at Oxford Brookes University. She joined Broomwood Hall in 2001.
	CATHERINE PREECE Prep W c.preece@northwoodschools.com	Catherine Preece grew up in Tasmania. Catherine completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Tasmania, before moving to Sydney where she taught for 4 years prior to traveling through South East Asia and moving to London with her husband.
	ELIZABETH PEDDER Class 1N e.pedder@northwoodschools.com	Elizabeth Pedder grew up in Wimbledon. She studied Childhood Studies with Psychology at Leeds University. She completed her PGCE at Roehampton University and taught Reception for 2 years in a school in Croydon. Elizabeth joined us in 2007.
	EMMA HARTY Class 1E e.harty@northwoodschools.com	Emma Harty grew up in Ballarat, Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Education at Australian Catholic University and taught at a a Catholic primary school in Melbourne for three years before traveling to South America and moving to London to live.
	LAURA ST JOHN Class 1S l.stjohn@northwoodschools.com	Laura St. John grew up in Clapham and attended Broomwood Hall for all of her primary school years. She completed a BSc degree in Physiology at Bristol University before going on to complete her PGCE at Roehampton in London. Laura is a keen musician, her main instruments are the oboe and saxophone. She also enjoys theatre, ballet, opera and traveling.
Coming Soon	ROCHELLE MCLEARY Class 2N r.mcleary@northwoodschools.com	Rochelle was born and raised in the deep south of New Zealand – Southland. After completing a Bachelor of Education and a Diploma of Teaching at Otago Universtiy she taught in various schools around New Zealand before coming to England to teach for two years. On her return to New Zealand Rochelle taught for four years in Wanaka, a ski resort town. Rochelle returned to London to teach at Broomwood Hall in 2008 after traveling extensively through South America in 2007.

After graduating from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education she moved to the United Kingdom where she taught and traveled for a year. Back in Melbourne, Melissa worked for 6 years at a large primary school, teaching a variety of year levels. Melissa joined Broomwood Hall in 2008 when she returned to London to continue working and traveling.
	JEANETTE HENDERSON Class 2S v.brook@northwoodschools.com	Jeanette Henderson originally comes from Perth, Western Australia. After graduating, she studied to become a teacher at the University of Notre Dame, Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood in 2004 and has since taught in schools in Perth and throughout London. Like many of the Broomwood teachers, she enjoys travel, and also likes the various areas of the arts.

	SARAH DUNN Head of Music s.dunn@northwoodschools.com	Sarah Dunn grew up in New Zealand and studied a Bachelor of Music at Otago University and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching at Christchurch College of Education. Throughout her training, she learnt piano, violin, clarinet and cello and enjoyed playing in local orchestras and chamber groups. Sarah taught music in various schools around London before joining Broomwood Hall.
	JUDITH CLARKE French j.clarke@northwoodschools.com	Judith Clarke trained as a secondary school teacher after graduating in linguistic and International Studies from Surrey University. She then taught at Croham Hurst school in South Croydon. Judith joined Broomwood Hall in 2002.
	LEON KOEKEMOER Sports & PE l.koekemoer@northwoodschools.com	Leon Koekemoer "Mr K"  was born in South Africa where he took up sport at an early age (he is a first dan Black Belt in judo with provincial and national colours). He came to teach in the UK in 2003.
	SALLY LILFORD Sports & PE s.lilford@northwoodschools.com	Sally Lilford comes from South Africa. After graduating from the University of Natal, she decided to study to be a teacher. She taught for 2 years as a PE teacher in Pietermaritzburg and joined Broomwood Hall in 2002.
