Finance Manager

We have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our finance office, who will be responsible for all financial and accounting matters within the school. Reporting to the Finance Director, they will lead the finance team to ensure the effective management and development of the schools financial resources. The expectation is that the finance office delivers a first class and highly efficient service to all stakeholders that meets the requirements of current legislation.

 

The successful candidate would ideally be a Qualified Accountant (ACMA, ACA, ACCA) and have experience of working in a finance or accountancy environment. They will have a working knowledge of Purchase Ledger, Nominal Ledger, Sales Ledger, Bank Reconciliations and Payment Portals, be competent in the production of financial statements, cash flow forecasts and management accounts and have demonstrable skill in accounting for VAT and VAT returns.  Team management experience would be desirable as well as experience of working in a school or educational setting.

 

The successful candidate should also have the ability to plan, organise, manage and prioritise their own workload, have strong interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic and target driven, and have a high level of attention to detail.

 

 Hours of work are 8 hours per day Monday-Friday 08:30am-4:30pm, however you must be able to work extended hours on occasion as needed. This includes lunch breaks which are paid. Benefits include free school lunches, 25 days annual leave and a company pension scheme.

 

The salary is negotiable dependent upon experience.
